- Writing :- This section also has a duration of 60 mins. This consist of 2 tasks:-
- Task 1:- In Academic version it will be to describe a graph, chart, map, etc. While in General it will be to write a letter (formal/informal)
- Task 2 :-In both the versions task 2 remains the same, that is to write an essay in response to a point of view, problem, or argument. Keep in mind that Task 2 carries more weight than Task 1.
- Speaking :- This section has the smallest duration of all, around 10-15 mins. This is a one-to-one interview with an examiner. This section has 3 parts:-
- Self introduction and basic questions following your introduction.
- Cue card, where you have to speak for at least 2 mins on a given topic.
- Follow up question based on your topic.

Each section is scored out of 9 bands. You also get an overall band score which is an average of the 4 sections.
